The HERE Vector Tile API allows you to request vector tiles containing data from the HERE platform. A vector tile is a method of rendering a map as multiple tiles arranged in a grid based on the zoom level. Vector tiles contain geometries (such as points and lines) that define polygons, labels (including road names or city names), and other kinds of data that are typically passed to a renderer to create a map.

The HERE Vector Tile API supports retrieving Protobuf-encoded binary tile representations for map rendering.

Vector tiles are optimized to be visualized at 512 pixels per tile. Vector tiles use Web mercator projection and follow the Vector tile specification, and each tile is encoded using Protobuf.
